American children have been taught at an early age that Abraham Lincoln was responsible for the emancipation of the slaves, but what they were not taught is that he did not believe that those of African descent should be eligible to vote, hold office or serve on a jury.
In believed in the superiority of the white race and that the freed slaves should be expelled from the United States and sent to a colony established for the black race.
