Article V - Oversight

8575547252?profile=originalThe Constitution is like a car that is in desperate need of a tune up. Even the finest car needs to be serviced from time to time or it will cease to function properly. When the Constitution was written it was like a car, fresh off the assembly line, but after over 200 years of abuse it needs to have its oil checked.

For generations Congress has been violating the Constitution and it is in serious need of repair. We don't need  a new car or a new Constitution, we simply need to service the one we  already have.

In order to have a functional government we need to strictly obey the Constitution. The Constitution of 1787 was written to govern the government and it was our responsibility to hold our elected officials accountable.

The Constitution has failed because we the people have allowed men and women who were elected to serve us to violate their oath  to  preserve, protect and defend the Constitution. The Constitution derives its power from the people and if we don't defend it, it can not  protect us.

We the people are the mechanics who can repair the damage that has been done to our Constitution by holding an Article V Convention of the States. We can no longer allow those who created the problem to be in charge of fixing it.
