Natural Order

In order for a people to govern themselves they must understand and obey the natural laws of the universe. Liberty, justice and equality can only be achieved by obedience to the laws of nature and nature's God.

We must individually take responsibility for respecting the rights of others in order to enjoy the blessings of liberty. If we fail to govern ourselves with responsibility we will ultimately be ruled by tyrants.

After the Revolutionary War, America embarked on an experiment in self governance. Those who framed our Constitution realized that in order remain free and independent the people would need to be virtuous and morally strong. They understood that in order to be free they would need to have the tools necessary to control the inevitable rise in the abuse of power by government. All they had to do was study their history to figure that one out.

The authors of our Constitution knew that in order to prevent the abuse of power by elected officials we would need to have adequate representation and frequent elections. They also knew that the people would need to be well educated and well informed.

They knew that in order for the people to control the behavior of their elected officials they needed to have relatively small Congressional Districts. They believed that large districts would enable the elected representatives to become masters rather that servants. Hence the need for Article I.

In Article 1, Section 2, Clause 3, of the Constitution established a ratio of one representative for every 30,000 people as the standard fraction for division of power. Today, however, the average Congressional District has over 700,000 constituents in each district. Because of this, all of the legislative power is vested in the hands of just 435 career politicians who, because of the size of their constituency, are not elected by the people, but instead only represent the bankers and Wall Street corporations that can afford to support their reelection campaigns and who are also beholding to the corporate lobbyists who are paid to bribe them with donations which are used to support their participation in what is commonly known as "Pay to Play" in Congress.

If we followed the provisions mandated in the Constitution we the people would have over 10,000 representatives. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The best way to prevent the abuse of power by a few is to share that power with many.

It is also understood that when power is concentrated in one place it becomes the birth place of corruption and tyranny. We need to reduce the size of congressional districts and we need to send our Congressmen back to their home districts to be surrounded and supervised by their constituents rather than by lobbyists.

Because our districts are so large, only the financial elite can afford to run for office. This reality makes it impossible for most Americans to even consider running for Congress.

  • If our public servants were FORCED to adhere to the Oath of Office they have to take to be one of our public servants it would not matter who got elected. However we have been manipulated into believing that voting is the only thing we should have to do. This belief is so false!!! It allows most people to ignore their DUTY to make sure the contract the people sent to the states to be ratified is obeyed and anyone not doing so is prosecuted for perjury!

    • Excellent comments, you hit the nail on the head.

      • Thanks.
We ALL have to get on the same page and each of us accept the offer of the Oath of Office to make it a contract with the person, not just the PEOPLE. Until we each do that any public servant can and do withdraw the offer.

Article 1 - The Legislative Branch
Section 10 - Powers Prohibited of States
"No State shall... pass any Bill... or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts"

Now that is NOT doing the same things over and over again expecting different results!
