When I was elected as the Sheriff of ____________________ County and I took an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution.
I will to the best of my ability seek to keep honor my oath and protect the lives, liberty and property of my constituents.
I am the Chief Law Enforcement Officer in my county and answer only to the voters of my county. I am not an officer of the court, I am the Chief Executive Officer of my county.
The County Board of Commissioners are the legislative branch of government in my county and the Courts represent the Judicial Branch. I am the Chief Executive Officer of the County and it is my responsibility to make sure that all just laws are enforced and that every elected official in my county honors their oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution.
It is my job to determine which laws are just and which ones are not. It is my responsibility to do what is right and to refuse to comply with laws that infringe on the rights of the people in my county.
