Martial Law - Click Here

When in a state of martial law the Constitution is suspended and the county is under the rule of military dictator. Congress has no authority during periods when we are being governed by martial law. Under martial law the President is authorized to do whatever he feels is necessary. Executive Orders are the means where a President can make laws without Congressional approval. The Constitution granted Congress with the exclusive power to make laws and prohibited the President from doing so. The only reason that Executive Orders are recognized is due to the fact that since 1861 the United States has been under martial law. The limitations imposed on our government by the Constitution do not apply during periods when the people are subject to martial law.
