Everyone should be able to choose where they want to live. Those who prefer a strict interpretation of the Constitution should be able to live in the Land of Liberty while those who prefer a liberal interpretation of the Constitution should have the right to live in the State of Tyranny.

Rather than having one nation consisting of 50 states with conflicting interests and values, we should consider creating two countries which would allow people a choice for people to live in a nation with others who shared a common belief in the proper role of government.

In all of the states were to secede from the "United States" (Corporation), and given the opportunity to become a part of a new nation, both the liberals and conservatives would have a place to call their own. Instead of having two factions competing in one divided nation, we would have two separate and perhaps eventually united Republics.

By creating two independent nations, we would provide the people with the opportunity to vote with their feet and move to the state that they believe would be a safe haven for their shared common interests, values and beliefs.

  • Better still, weed out leftist instructors at all levels of education and start teaching civics again. Remember the words of Lincoln, about a house divided.
    • Alan, I understand your intent, but Lincoln would the LAST person I'd every quote to support a creditable position.

  • Sounds like CA to me. Jefferson State, the Northern 21 counties.
  • Absolutely! And that was the founders' intent. In all of my extensive research on the issue, whenever secession came up during the constitutional convention and ratifying conventions, NOT ONCE was the notion of recision/secession disparaged or otherwise invalidated by the founders. They understood the union was based upon a compact among the several sovereign States and that participation in that union created by the States was strictly VOLUNTARY. That is why the word "perpetual" does not appear in the Constitution.

  • Both countries already exist. To get out of the high taxation one, and into the original free country, simply go to you tube and put "the t-roh show" in the search bar. Listen to the 25th episode. It'll take about 30 min. to listen and about 10 min. to change your jurisdiction without even leaving home. We changed jurisdictions two months ago and have since moved our business there also. No taxes and no alphabet agencies. What's not to like?

  • all we have in concrete now is a land of imprisonment and crookedness by government officials
