What Kind of Man or Woman Are You?

8575501259?profile=originalAn ethical principle consists of a worthy outcome and an ethical means to achieve it. An ethical outcome can only be achieved when ethical means are employed .

When a law infringes upon an individual's right to life, liberty or property that law is invalid and must be rejected by ethical individuals.

An ethical law is promotes liberty, equality and justice while unethical laws promote injustice, inequality and human bondage. Government edicts take the property of some and give it to others it is unethical. The theft of one man's property is not justified by giving to a person in need.

Laws which benefit some at the expense of others legalize theft of personal property and are not laws, but merely the edicts of the financial elite used to extort the property of the people.

It is the duty of every ethical human being to obey just laws and it is also their duty to refuse to comply with laws which are unjust.

Governments derive their power from the consent of the governed and can also lose their power when a sufficient number of the people withdraw their consent. In the Declaration of Independence, it was asserted that it was the right and the duty of the people to alter or abolish their government when that or any government becomes tyrannical.

The best way for us to withdraw our consent is to refuse to comply with legislation which is unjust, unfair and/or unconstitutional. As long as we continue to obey their unjust laws, we are giving the government the authority enslave us.

An ethical individual is honest and motivated by love. He or she respects the life, liberty and property of others and would not violate the lives, liberty or property of others. An unethical individual is motivated by greed and will do whatever is necessary to get what they want.

Ethical people believe that righteous goals cannot be achieved when unethical means are used. Unethical people believe that the ends justify the means.

When ethical individuals allow unethical leaders to seize control of the reigns of power, tyranny is sure to follow. A society that allows unethical leaders to rule always suffer the consequences of their irresponsibility.

  • You wrote "Governments derive their power from the consent of the governed"

That may have been true once, however that is not true to day.  Today Governments  get their power from the point of a gun, tear gas or club.  To prove my point all you have to do is look at Missouri a couple of weeks ago.

    • Byron, I am sorry to say that you are correct. The government now subscribes to the notion that might makes right and that the law is now whatever they say that it is.
