The United States is an Association of States

The state where you live, joined an association when their application for "statehood" was approved. Similar to a business owner who joins the local Chamber of Commerce, your state joined a union of states for their mutual benefit and protection.

The purpose of the association was to "provide for the common defense" and to "promote the general welfare" of all of the members of the association.

The United States as an association is governed by 50 states' Constitutions and a United States Constitution that tell the association what they can and cannot do.

When an association violates the terms of their Charter, the members have a right to terminate their membership in the association.

Also it was not a civil war. It was a Revolutionary War. It became a civil war when the South lost. A civil war occurs when part of a country tries to overthrow the current government to sieze the power for themselves. This did not occur. The southern states withdrew and just wanted to be left alone.

I am so glad to see your analogy. It makes it so much clearer than I have been able to explain. I will be sharing and will give credit where it is due.

It may have been all of the above when founded but then we had a Civil War and after that war we had the Reconstruction Acts. It sounds like the right thing to do--go in and reconstruct the damage done by the conflict, but that's not the kind of reconstruction that took place. All the sovereign state governments were reconstructed into federal sub-corporations. No matter how loud they claim to be sovereign states, every STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA, STATE OF OHIO, etc., is nothing more than a branch of the bankster owned federal corporation.

We can't hold them to THEIR corporate by-laws, the Constitution of the United States because it does not belong to the people.

How can the power of the political parties, the labor unions and special interest groups be restored to the people?

If I cannot beat a traffic ticket, I am not ready for this.
