THE MILITIA IS NECESSARY TO THE SECURITY OF A FREE STATE/BLACK REGIMENT/MILITIA CHAPLAIN/COLONEL TOM COLE

The original Constitution of the United States intended for the people to have a right to keep and bear arms in defense of their nation, against all enemies both foreign and domestic.

Today, the United States maintains the mightiest military in the annals of history. While they are well prepared to take on the challenges from all foreign nations, they do not negate the need for a civilian militia. Government, in general, has proven to have an extremely bad record on human rights and the preservation of fundamental God given liberties. Further, history has shown that the government, which governs least, governs best. It is for those reasons that our nation was built on the premise that individuals have a duty and responsibility to belong to the militia. Our belief is that the greatest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to prevent tyranny in government.

Today our nation is now in the hands of people who are so far removed from the original foundations upon which this country was built, the founding fathers would not even recognize the nation they left for us. Therefore, it becomes incumbent upon us to state those things we believe in and to work toward realizing a nation, which represents those ideals.

Here in Washington's own manuscript, we see these three reasons for the militia: to repel (1) rebellion, (2) invasion, and (3) tyranny. This adds to the proof that the purpose of the militia of the Second Amendment is for the people to guard against tyranny in government. Without a shadow of a doubt, the Second Amendment came into existence so that the people could protect themselves against despotic acts and tyranny brought on by public officials!"

"Today, we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom." John F. Kennedy

Militia Act of 1792

I want to clarify something for all of you, you are ALL, each and everyone, by act of congress, responsible to defend the Constitution. You are all, each and every one of you, by act of Congress, in a militia.

Debate settled!!!! Ohhh, you want proof, ok here you go.

Per the Militia Act of 1792 all male citizens between the ages of 18 and 44 are members of the militia and must provide at their own cost, arms, ammo, and gear.

The Militia Act of 1792, Passed May 8, 1792, providing federal standards for the organization of the Militia.

An ACT more effectually to provide for the National Defense, by establishing an Uniform Militia throughout the United States.

I. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled, That each and every free able-bodied white male citizen of the respective States, resident therein, who is or shall be of age of eighteen years, and under the age of forty-five years (except as is herein after excepted) shall severally and respectively be enrolled in the militia, by the Captain or Commanding Officer of the company, within whose bounds such citizen shall reside, and that within twelve months after the passing of this Act. And it shall at all time hereafter be the duty of every such Captain or Commanding Officer of a company, to enroll every such citizen as aforesaid, and also those who shall, from time to time, arrive at the age of 18 years, or being at the age of 18 years, and under the age of 45 years (except as before excepted) shall come to reside within his bounds; and shall without delay notify such citizen of the said enrollment, by the proper non-commissioned Officer of the company, by whom such notice may be proved. That every citizen, so enrolled and notified, shall, within six months thereafter, provide himself with a good musket or firelock, a sufficient bayonet and belt, two spare flints, and a knapsack, a pouch, with a box therein, to contain not less than twenty four cartridges, suited to the bore of his musket or firelock, each cartridge to contain a proper quantity of powder and ball; or with a good rifle, knapsack, shot-pouch, and powder-horn, twenty balls suited to the bore of his rifle, and a quarter of a pound of powder; and shall appear so armed, accoutered and provided, when called out to exercise or into service, except, that when called out on company days to exercise only, he may appear without a knapsack. That the commissioned Officers shall severally be armed with a sword or hanger, and espontoon; and that from and after five years from the passing of this Act, all muskets from arming the militia as is herein required, shall be of bores sufficient for balls of the eighteenth part of a pound; and every citizen so enrolled, and providing himself with the arms, ammunition and accoutrements, required as aforesaid, shall hold the same exempted from all suits, distresses, executions or sales, for debt or for the payment of taxes.

This clearly states, by act of Congress what is expected of all citizens (I know it says male citizens, but since then, the ladies have gotten the vote and thus are included) from 18 to 44 years old. Please note that it says you will provide your own arms, ammo, and gear, and that you must protect it from suit, taxes, and it cannot be sold. That should settle any lingering questions about the primary mission of your firearms. Ok, but how does that make me responsible to defend the constitution you ask, well here is your answer.

All citizens in the militia must swear an Oath of Enlistment, it is as follows:

“I, (name), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”

Please note that the oath swears allegiance to the Constitution before all other allegiances, which means if any of the others violate the

Constitution, it is your duty to defend it, regardless of orders to do otherwise from the sources that follow your first allegiance.
