Government is Like a Forest Fire

8575441700?profile=originalGeorge Washington once compared a government to a forest fire. A fire that is under control can warm your buns, but if it is not controlled, it can burn your ass. Giving unlimited power to greedy and corrupt politicians is like giving a loaded weapon to a child.

Governments were supposedly created to benefit the people and to keep them safe. But in the 20th century, the governments of the world were responsible for the death of over one hundred million people.

As governments grow larger and larger they accumulate more and more power and begin to violate the rights of the people they were created to protect.

Men of good conscience do not need a leader, they are fully capable of governing themselves. Men of low character need leaders to tell them what to do and what to think.

In a politicians rise to power, ethics often get in the way. To get elected, they must tell the voters what they want to hear and then trust them to forget what was promised after they get elected. Give a politician campaign contribution and you will likely be rewarded a with benefit paid for by someone else's money.

Trusting a man with power is like trusting a wolf to protect the sheep. Unfortunately the hungriest wolf is most likely to get the job.

There are two kinds of people in the world today; there are the predators and the prey. Most of the people have volunteered to be exploited due to their ignorance and apathy.
