A House Divided

When the House and the Senate are  divided into rival political factions nations can not survive. When people are united behind just principles they thrive, but when they seek to prosper at the expense of others they create an environment where the bankers, lawyers and politicians  control the political landscape.

Our nation's judicial system is supposed to be based on Common Law. Under a system of Common Law, the Common Men can resolve their differences using Common Sense.

Under Civil Law, Lawyers are needed to interpret the law in order to benefit some at the expense of others. Under Common Law people have rights granted to them by their Creator, while under Civil Law,  the people only have privileges granted to them by the legislatures of men.

When people are divided into political factions they are use their collective political  power to exploit their opponents for their own benefit.
