One of the oldest strategies being employed by the rulers is to get their subjects to wage war against each other. When distracted, the slaves focus their attention on their fellow slaves rather than on their real problems.
By getting groups of people such as:
- Left versus right,
- Rich versus poor,
- Men versus women,
- Young versus old,
- Christians versus Muslims
This creates a diversion that allows the rulers to escape the scrutiny of their subjects. Another strategy which government uses to accomplish their goals is to create a crisis. This would cause the people fear what will happen in the future if the government doesn't come to the rescue.
