The Preamble to the Constitution says, "We the People of the united States" but should have read "We the People of the several states". The Constitution was not ratified by the people collectively, it was ratified by the people in each of the 13 states.

Many people fail to recognize that the united States is not a country, it is a union of sovereign Republics. Delegates of the states wrote the Constitution and the people of the states ratified it.

When we elect a President, the winning candidate is not chosen by the popular vote of the people, but is chosen by the states. This system guarantees that each state will be represented based on their population.

If we were to abolish the Electoral College, we would create a democracy and would eliminate the checks and balances that protect the people from a tyranny of the majority.

The direct election of Senators created by the 17th Amendment turned our bicameral Congress into a unicameral legislature with two houses representing the same constituency. What this amendment did was convert our republic into a democracy.

Article V in the Constitution mandates "that no State, without its Consent shall be deprived of it's equal Suffrage in the Senate". There are currently seven states which have not ratified the 17th Amendment and are therefore not obligated to comply with this amendment, since they have NOT given their consent.

  • Regarding the ‘National Popular Vote’ Initiative:  Why is it that when people talk about the UNITED STATES they always fail to identify exactly which U. S. they are referring to — the Real or the fake? It likely appears to the majority of the people, by failure to identify, that they are speaking of the Constitutional Trust Established and Ordained by our founding Fathers; however, when a U. S.  constitution is mentioned nowadays days it is generally regarding either the corporation established by the Act of 1871, which incorporated Washington, D.C.,  or the foreign-owned corporate constitution that is being spoken of, and any contracts would be between the corporate states and either Washington or the foreign corporation. Either way, the people are not included, but only “person(s)’ or the non-existing so-called “entities” that are affected.

Also, consider that corporations are but fictions — they have neither substance nor volition. The only way they can function is by men and women becoming actors and playing the roles of the alleged officers of those corporations. By using that subterfuge they are able to deceive the people and achieve their goals of total subjugation; whereas the people believe their corporate bylaws or statutes, which are only “color of Law” as regards the living, are True Law under our Lawful Constitution. Tell me, how can non-existing things called “entities” or fictitious persons, which have no life or Real existence, interact and communicate with one another to effect a contract? It is all a specious fraud being perpetrated upon the American people — the constituent sovereignties of the several States. Will the people of the several States ever become sufficiently informed whereby they will be enabled to reclaim their lawful Birthrights? ~ r-l: G

    • As I see it, the third paragraph brings up a major question.  Referring to the Electoral College, Professor says: "This system guarantees that each state will be represented in the selection based on their population."  Well, that is not correct per the words in the Constitution.   True, the Electors are very nearly proportional to magnitude of the population,  BUT that is only for the NOMINATION process.  Nomination of names is what the Electors are to do, putting the names in sealed envelops.  Thereafter, the US House is to chuse from the three highest numbered names, and each State gets only ONE vote.  That is a beautiful system.  It would eliminate the divisiveness of a popularity contest pitched to the whole nation, which causes candidates to make all kinds of unrealistic promises.  In other words, they tell untruths to the populace to win the votes of the naive and uninformed people, who were never intended to VOTE for anything to do with the Federal Government.  We are citizens of the States, and it is a State function to VOTE, by District, for a citizen's Representative to the US House.  And it was to be a State Function for the State Governments to appoint Senators to the US Senate.  Likewise, the State Governments were to have essentially  complete control over who is to be President and Vice President.  If we were to return to "chusing" our President per the Constitution, we the people would have NOTHING to do with the process, and this National divisiveness would be gone.  It was a travesty of ruination to our Republic when the "Politicians" pretended that the Electoral System would not work.  They set up the two-party system and obliterated the function of the "ELECTORS."  Read the Constitution to see what I mean.   Let me hear more on this.
