There are at least three ways to get rid of the 17th Amendment.The first and mpst difficult way would be to attempt to repeal it. By proposing a new amendment to repeal the 17th Amendment by calling for an Article 5 Convention would require the approval of three fourths of the states.
To rescind the amendment we would need a minimum of six states to resiind their previous vote in favor of ratification of the 17th Amendment. Delaware voted against the ratification ot the 17th Amendment in 1913 and rescinded their vote in 2010. If six of the 41 states that have previously ratified the amendment were to rescind their previous vote in favor of ratification , the amendment would no longer have the number of state ratifications necessary to be a lawful amendment.
There is substantial evidence that the proposed 17th Amendment was not properly ratified and if we can get the courts to rule that the amendment was not lawfully ratified, the amendment must be expunged from the Constitution, for it to remain.
