I believe that Thomas Jefferson was very bright, but in writing the Declaration of Independence he made a humongous mistake. He wrote that governments derive their power from the consent of the governed, but he should have written that governments derive their just power from the consent of the people. Anyone who is governed is subject to the jurisdiction of a higher authority. The term consent of the governed is an oxymoron like military intelligence or jumbo shrimp.

The Constitution was a employment contract between the people of the states and Federal government. That contract has been breached by the government officials and the government has lost its lawful authority to govern.
Congress violates the Constitution every time they pass an unconstitutional legislation, or when the President signs an Executive Order or when the Supreme legislates from the bench.

Good catch. I agree the verbage is a mistake. "Governed" places us at the bottom.
Just who are the governed? If it is the 'people' it is because they do not realize they have been fooled into being the fiduciary for the legal fiction straw man, the only entity to which their de-facto codes, statutes, regs, and rules apply. Without the un-rebutted presumption of surety-ship, Govco could not effect the lives of the people one iota, barring an injury under mens rea or breach of contract. It appears that knowing who you are is more important than all they throw against you.
As the people become more aware of the fraud that has been imposed upon them, the system is getting bolder in their efforts to quell any process that would abrogate their long standing control of the people. Judges are regularly schooled on how to short circuit anyone's attempt to establish their correct status. I have personally witnessed judges committing 6 or more felonies in a hearing just to deny parties their right to due process of law--a hollow principle in their courts.
