The Park Police

This has got to be the most idiotic thing I have EVER seen in America or anywhere else in the world. If you believe these park police are doing the right thing, then ignore this article. If not:

  • Is the 1st AMENDMENT IN AFFECT [effect] OR NOT...OR , MAYBE IT DOESN'T APPLY IN THE DISTRICT ?

    • It's always about jurisdiction Joe. The corporation has jurisdiction over its territory. When you're in The District of Columbia, you're not in America.

  • Obviously we missed the events leading up to this altercation. But this is NOT the America the World has been led to believe is free.

What exactly was the "protest"? What laws were violated? Who is the complainant or injured party?

Did we hear correctly? "Visitors need a "permit" to record"! Permit from who [whom]?

Yes Morton, DC is a foreign country. The sooner the average fool comprehends the meaning of this, the sooner we can return our country back to the People. I have more questions. If DC and all federal property are a foreign country, what is the nationality of these so-called public employees? Are they Americans, or what?

Is there any doubt that THIS incident is proof that we are living within a Police State? At least in THEIR specific jurisdictional boundaries. It is not some future warning, it is current fact.

When we vacation, do we rationally choose to visit hostile nations? Sane individuals don't do that intentionally. Does the foreign country of DC have an embassy for real Americans while they travel abroad?

These are the crazy questions that require investigation.

  • Anyone that looks for trouble, would suffer disappointment if they didn't find it. I have seen disrespectful people desecrate the hallowed grounds of The Alamo, The USS Arizona Memorial and The Tomb of The Unknown Soldier. These "Richard Craniums" think they have a right to ruin the decorum of solemn reflection of others, which in fact negates the rights, that they mistakenly think they have. Our rights only extend outward, until it intrudes on the rights of another.... not a difficult concept to grasp, at all!

  • Our Founding Fathers warned against foreign entanglements. Our standing armies are for national defense, not foreign aggression, but our nation began to stray from The Constitution, before any of us were born. I am a veteran, as was my father before me and my son after me, but when my grandson deployed the second time to Iraq, I began to realize and ask why. I also began to pray again. The blood of our youth is squandered like so many fiat dollars, all for oil or whatever the usurpers of freedom and seekers of power decide is the cause du jour. Rand Paul is the only politician on the national stage, that is making any sense, but getting very little traction. Dancin' in the Jefferson Memorial is for buffoons and rabble rousers, but electing responsive and responsible candidates takes a back seat... WHY?

    • Because our "elections" are a farce and completely rigged. That's why.

      • Please tell us, how "dancing" or jumping around, punching the air and imitating primates in our nations memorials help solve the rigged election problem? Would street preachers be allowed to lecture in these public places? I doubt they would be as intimidating to families of tourists, as the air punching loons, that were hopping around The Jefferson Memorial, sans music. But, I understand, that one's freedom doesn't extend beyond someone else's freedom and that is why we adopt social conventions. Nothing in The Constitution prohibits us from being naked in public, either... My statements may be rendered moot to you because the only Shakespeare I ever read was OTHELLO and my knowledge of French is even worse than my English, but please know that I came to this site to gain more understanding of our Constitution and while there has been a few positives... well, there has been some lunacy, too! Thank you for correcting my grammatical mistakes and reassuring me that the crowd in the Memorial was spontaneous and not staged, as I must have erroneously assumed. You asked, where the hell do I get off... I think right here is as good a place as any!  Best regards, Pard!

  • Nice UN (United Nations) BLUE uniforms.
    • Much ado about nothing. Security guards wear light blue uniforms, in a lot of countries, this crap has nothing to do with the UN. Personally, I want the U.S. out of the U.N. and I want the U.N. out of the U.S. but this is about riff-raff wanting to stir up trouble, which ruins it for the rest of us. What about the tourist that drove across several states to visit the memorials in D.C. they didn't come to see a bunch of dorks antagonizing the park police with their monkey antics. What about the rights of the tourists? This site seems to encourage anarchy, rather than promote a return to Constitutional values. Go to a club if you want to dance, go to a private place if you want to make-out, why should families be subjected to staged BS? That is why we have Park Police.

      Try to get a clue!

      • If I may Fred,

        1. It's "Much TO-DO about Nothing" - Shakespeare. "Much ADIEU About Nothing" is a Hollywood movie and a spoof on the original quote.
        2. When you're talking about humans, it's "the tourist WHO", not "the tourist that".
        3. I don't see anyone in the area complaining that this "dancing" is infringing upon their "reflection", so your point is rendered moot.
        4. This is not the only idiotic thing that this guy has exposed as insane "rules" enforcement in OUR Capitol. There are other videos of this same person being "harassed" by park police. Try This one for instance.
        5. I don't think the site itself is responsible for "encouraging" anything. It is the state of affairs in this country that is being highlighted here, not "anarchy".
        6. There is no evidence that this was "staged" or that ANYONE'S visit to the memorial was "ruined" or their "rights" violated.
        7. Where the hell is the right to quite reflection written? I'd like you to show me that. And,
        8. Where do you get off telling people where they can dance or hold each other lovingly or even hold hands. Dancing is not offensive on it's face and what if that's just the way they "reflect"? And, we do not see ANYONE in this video complaining except the code enforcers. Frankly I'm about up to HERE with "code" enforcement. The only people "ruining" anyone's "solemn reflection" is the "code" enforcers.

On another note, I agree with your U.N. assessment. I don't think the color of their uniforms is pertinent.
