The Second Amendment - Right to Exist

The "Blue Flu"

What I fail to understand is how law-abiding, legal gun owners can even consider the idea of confiscation of our guns by anyone whether they are a member of Congress or not. The Second Amendment exists; it is real; it is the law of the land. Regardless of how attorneys try to attach qualifiers to the meaning of the amendment, it's intent is perfectly clear. Our private, legal property is not contraband. Most of us worked hard to earn the money to pay for our weapons so that we could enjoy them legally. "Confiscation" is nothing more or less than a synonym for "steal". We saw and experienced vivid examples of the behavior of "law enforcement officers" in New Orleans following hurricane Katrina in which several called in with the "blue flu" so that they could pillage and steal from hurricane victims. What is it going to take for us to wake up? Law enforcement is a notoriously precarious profession. In many cases, it is a corrupt profession. Yet those who have sworn an oath before our Creator to protect and defend our Constitution are legally, professionally and morally obligated to honor that oath. To fail to honor one's oath of office is treason, however many, if not most Americans seem unaware of that legal fact.

Why is no one proposing ordering law enforcement at all levels to confiscate the illegally owned (and criminally used) weapons belonging to felons, crooks, gangs, etc? I believe that the principal reason is that it would be much easier to disarm law-abiding citizens in their homes in the middle of the night during a sneak, surprise raid than to enter the "cribs" or other places where criminals reside. And yet, look at the excess military equipment (armed vehicles - some with cannons, bullet proof vests, riot gear, night-vision goggles, sniper rifles, high-powered rifles, mortars, bazookas and anti-tank - and anti-building weapons) that the federal government has given to federal, state, county, and local law enforcement agencies. When they perform a raid on the wrong house, perhaps kill at least one of the innocent residents, they arrive in force with from 6 to 10 officers, all trigger happy, all ready to kill. Not even the pets of victims escape their lust for blood.

So why are we concerned and fearful of having our homes demolished and loved ones murdered by "SWAT teams"? To me, this is crazy. Send law enforcement to where the criminals are, not to where law abiding citizens reside. They have tanks! What could be more intimidating to a bunch of low-life criminals than to see a tank with plenty of bullet-proof, heavily armed troops performing a sweep of your neighborhood, its streets and alleys (besides, they're usually awake at 3:00 a.m. shooting up anyway). I hope you will let me know what you think and, if you agree, share these thoughts with others.

  • Is this guy new, stupid, ignorant?? It seems like this is ridiculously written. anyone awake has all those answers at front of mind.

Another distraction, let's see why did Hitler was to confiscate guns? Now let's have a really meaningful discussion about that.

    Waste of everything that communique.

  • Most of us on this site are well aware of the problem expressed! Personally, if swat comes to my home, they can have all of the firearms, that they can find.

I will not risk my families well being, or my own life, for any  worldly possessions.

I can replace my firearms and other material items. I will rationally choose to replace needed items and survive to fight another day, on more favorable terms.

Our Constitution is being and has been trampled and subverted. THE TREE OF LIBERTY begs to be refreshed and cannot be ignored much longer!
