Simply put, Lincoln did not want to preside over the dissolution of this voluntary union of States, the Constitution and the inherent right of secession be damned. He callously launched what was a needless and painfully costly War of Northern Aggression on a free and independent nation, that being the CSA. In death, I hope he enjoys his monuments. What an epic tragedy.

the brainwashing starts in public schools... from abolished reasons for studies of The U.S. Constitution studies (e.g. Elementary catechism on the Constitution of the United States: For the use of schools), to history becoming part of social studies (in essence the present) and "naturally God gets kicked out of ALL school (...gov't is god then the other god, allah takes over).

I didn't find out until I was 40 yrs old that there were two brothers on one side of my family. One fought for the North. The other fought for the South.
After the war....they sat out on the font porch and never discussed it ever.

wasn't it Thomas Jefferson who told us we should have a civil war every 20 years?
