Whenever Congress passes a new law the same thing happens when we touch a hot stove. we get burned.
There are natural consequences for what we say and do. If our government passes just laws the consequences will be peace, prosperity and freedom. If the laws are unjust the rights of the many are sacrificed for the benefits of the few.
When you touch a hot stove in the real world you get burned, but when the government touches a hot stove it is the people who pay the price.
Laws written by men that contradict the law of God always produce unintended consequences.
