Time to Stop the Train

In 1787, Representatives from the States, united to create a Constitution that would institute and restrict the behavior of, a strong central government and it's Representatives, defend against serious invasions, suppress insurrections and otherwise, protect the rights of the people.

They set the rules with the idea that it would be The People who would be ultimately in charge of and responsible for, the running of the country. It would not be left to an Aristocracy, an Oligarchy, or a Tyrant to make the decisions for the Citizens. All aspects of the endeavor were designed to have The People in charge at every level and in every way, the FINAL SAY on EVERYTHING!

The Constitution for The united States reinforces this concept time and again.

It starts right off the bat, with the preamble and reiterates this concept throughout the document. We see it even previous to this in the Declaration of Independence, wherein it declares that people;

"...are endowed by their Creator (not Government), with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. --That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,"

And;

"That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute (among Men), new Government,..to effect their safety and Happiness"

Then they proceed to lay out the reasons for this platform and violations of human rights by King George. Today, we find our own federal and state governments guilty of the EXACT same violations described in the DOI, from mock trials and imposing taxes without our will, to forced behaviors.

We are trapped in the same conundrum, once again, but the truth is that WE THE PEOPLE are in charge of it all, and it is WE THE PEOPLE who must recognize this inherent power and exercise it. As evidence I present the Preamble to the Constitution, To Whit;

"We the People of the united States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution FOR the united States of  America." (named for Amerigo Vespucci)

And it's The Militia that was to be trusted to enforce these rules, restrictions and protections. PERIOD! No standing armies as we see in our Union controlled Jack-booted, police departments.

  • I have the training and experience but am too old and disabled to be a part of the militia.  I am 70 and crippled from a severe stroke I suffered on August 19, 2014.  I was a member of Special Forces, a weapons specialist, but am now well beyond being of any use in a physical battle.  I am still waiting and believing for God's healing but even the am well beyond battle age but would help all I can when the times comes.  I will have to fight a static fight because I can't move very well and will be an easy target to take out but am happy to take some heat off of those more capable.  I am not afraid of death as Jesus is my Lord and Savior and I know my eternity is with Him.

  • In today's America, how do we get the people to understand that this so-called government is nothing more than a means of enslaving us and making us work for this so-called government?  Today many PEOPLE are living off the so-called government handouts and do not realize that once they have a large enough number of people on their roles, the crap will hit the fan and the so-called government will remove all of their freebies and put them to work for this so-called government for free or be terminated.  People now-a-days are too lazy to work for their living and will learn the hard way that they should have woken up before it was too late!

    • Jim, you are right.  Welfare is merely a way to keep people dependent on government.  I am on socialist security and although I paid into it for 50 years I know they could shut me off in an instant.  I am disabled and can't work so likely will be euthanized when it happens.  I am 70  so not concerned.  I believe my kids and grandkids will help me when and if needed.  I WILL NOT become a government pawn!!!!!

  • At 79, I am blessed to be in pretty good health and am willing to fight for the Constitution and the God-Given Rights enshrined therein.  I'm retired Navy and draw Social Security, therefore I am somewhat under the financial control of our insidious government.
    Our Founders, under the rule of King George, had more freedom than anyone alive today has ever seen.  I grew up in the 40's and 50's and well remember the freedom that we had back then.  We have lost much over the years and it will take a miracle from God or a civil war to restore the freedom that we lost.
