Article V - Serious Trouble

8575472471?profile=originalI think that we all agree that our government is broken and that our three branches of government are bearing corrupt fruit. They have abandoned the Constitutional road map and have assumed power that was not delegated to them in the Constitution. Our country is in serious trouble and is on the verge of destruction.

Until now, we the people have been spectators. We have allowed our representatives to have complete and total control over the direction America is headed. Trusting Congress with our financial affairs is like giving an alcoholic the keys to the liquor cabinet.

Believe it or not, there are many among us who do not want a public forum to discuss our problems and potential solutions. They claim that it would be dangerous to consider making changes to the status quo. That would be like a person who is dying of cancer refusing to discuss the possible use of chemotherapy because it may cause him to lose his hair.

It would be a lot more dangerous to stay on our current course than it would be for us to consider following the instructions given to us by the Framers. The idea of having a conference to discuss our nation’s problems is not a new idea.

In the summer of 1787 it was written in to the Constitution as a method to save our nation if Congress were to become corrupt and dysfunctional. I believe that the time has come for that solution and that if we the people fail to act, we will be signing our nation's death certificate.

The solution is hidden in plain sight. This conference that I have been speaking of is described in Article V of the Constitution of the United States.
