Defending the Constitution and the Rights of the People The County Sheriffs of Colorado are honoring their oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution against the usurpation of power by both the Federal government and the State of Colorado. The County Sheriffs of Colorado are not the agents of the Federal government, they are elected by the people to protect their life, liberty and property against common criminals as well as the Federal government. We, the People of the Colorado Constitution Club, are behind you in using your lawful authority as the chief law enforcement officer of the County.  We elected you Sheriff to defend our rights and liberties, and to be the barrier between lawlessness in government, and the freedom of the People who created government. We encourage you to be strong and very courageous, to stand on the truth, which is on the side of common law and original principles secured to us by the founding generation, and to consider suggestions given below as to how to make your counties strong, secure "Liberty Zones" through simply acting on the laws we already have from antiquity. "One has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws."  Martin Luther King Jr.                         Every County Sheriff takes an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, but without an understanding of the Constitution and the principles upon which is was written, it is impossible for a Sheriff to honor their oath. When a county sheriff enforces an unjust law they must first violate the oath that they have taken to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution. The reason elected officials are required to take an oath of allegiance to the Constitution is because it is the Supreme Law of the Land. Any time that a rule, regulation, code, ordinance or statute violates the Constitution, it is the responsibility of the Sheriff to support the Constitution and to refuse to comply with laws that unconstitutional. The purpose of this website is to help educate members of the law enforcement community on Constitution and the principles of liberty.
