Good evening fellow members of the Constitution Club, as of this evening my son and I are displaced in Morris County, New Jersey. My son, Shawn is 25 years old and had been stricken as a child with a Stroke and has suffered mini Strokes and hypotension in the past couple of years.
We have had many loses starting with unemployment, Hurricane Irene and Sandy. We had to move from our rental home due to being sold and are in need of financial help with rental security and first months rent. I have only been able to be employed with a 12-20 hour P/T employment and have had no luck with 2 old vehicles from charity that have had their engines seized within an eight month period.
I have been living with my disabled son in those vehicles and an hotel. At this moment we are struggling and suffering trying to find another employment so we can stay in a hotel near my job so I can walk to work and take care of my son. It is impossible not only to manage the hotel and trying to managing putting money together for another home for us is impossible when jobs have been far and none.
We would be very appreciative if anyone would help us with our goal to find permanent housing and help with immediate necessities and for a temporary hotel stay in the meantime, while I seek out other employment opportunities so we may stabilize our family and eventually able to purchase a new car.
