PLEASE HELP US PROVIDE CONSTITUTION BOOKLETS AND CIVICS
EDUCATION FOR A MORE INFORMED CITIZENRY Constitution For The People DLN # 2957601 |
The greatest advancement of our Constitution Project took place during Constitution Week when the Second Largest School District in the State of Florida not only recognized the accomplishments that we have done but the Superintendent and School Board issued a “RSOULTION No. 19-04 which stated “RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF CONSTITUTION FOR THE PEOPLE BOOKLETS FOR FIFTH GRADE AMERICAN HISTORY STUDENTS…GIVEN IN FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, THIS DAY 21th DAY OF AUGUST 2018. (My point is that with obtaining 100% of mission each of the 67 counties/school districts will be challenged to do the same and at this point I have 45 of the 67 willing do so immediately upon asking and seeing the results of fully accomplishing our mission for 2018 – 2019 School Year.Please note each of the smaller counties/school districts have had booklets since 2015 and many of those smaller counties have had booklets in both the fifth and seventh grade because many were always under 1,000 students. The picture of Sumter County was chosen because as I approached this school district in 2015 they had booklets each year and because they integrate the booklets within their curriculum the results of their Civics Education strives has been A+ each year and the students are constantly engaged in Americanism Contests offered by social clubs such as the Rotary, VFW, Daughter of American Revolution (DAR) and others.
Paige has demonstrated on personal level the power of having the Constitution Booklet in her hand. Her actions have sparked others within the classroom, within the community, and across Florida to follow her example of putting Civics Education in action in her academic work and community involvement. Paige has become a young role model of our expectation of expanding the knowledge of youth with the Constitution and Civics Education.
I not only seek the support of K-12 school official, parents, local and state government officials but the leadership in higher education as well because learning is a continuing process and the colleges and universities must fulfill their roles as well. I have an appointment to talk with the new Dr. Martin, President FGCU, as I had with the past President because he just as many of the other leaders in higher education understand we are about not only establishing a solid foundation for our youth but to continue to assist them as they build upon that foundation. (Keith this is where all the programs, projects, and ideas about the Summer Campus for teachers and students along with the Jeopardy and Who wants to be a millionaire will take us to the next level that everyone is dying to )
Final Picture for my attempt so you can so the snap shot of our movement from a dream in March 2015 to the full accomplish of our mission (with your support) on March 15, 2019, we have the ability to successfully established the foundation and move onward to the continuing and sustainment phase of truly making a difference in Civics Education.
