It really bothers me when people don't state where these things happen and the date. Even if people wanted to take action in support how would they do that without this information.....

This happened in north St Louis area , a very bad part and dangerous part of St Louis
If you notice the cop when he bends over tosses something away from the perp standard proceedure over to the side, (it is also standard prodedure to cuff any suspect until they have been "Called" and its verified that the perp is dead by paramedics , a doctor) so apparently he had something.
There is something serious wrong with you... So what if the man was having mental issues.
I don't see a knife at all. nor does he pointit at the cops. these cops are TRAINED to deescalate and redirect. Just like people who work in the mentally impaired field. There were TWO officers and they SHOT TO KILL there is NO disputing that. They could have shot once in the leg or tased him just like the camera man said. This was

Ok here we go again , this fool with the sodas steals something, breaks the law, wiats for the cops to come , the cops give him instructions and he doesnt comply, and they tell him what to do to comply again. puts his hands in his pocket ( to taunt the policemen) and then makes a move towards the police , no an easily walking move towards the police but an agressive stance. The police shoot and kill him. The idiot had the opportunity to surrender, he was told what to do , he wasnt an innocent man. Nothing to see here. I am a constitutionalist guys , this guy was outside the law when he took the soda, when he came at the police and didnt do as he was told to do . When are the police supposed to protect themselves , after the guy is on them , with whatever he had ???? do make me change my mind about being part of this group !!!!!!!
This is called police assisted suicide and the cops are supposed to be trained on how to deal with these situations, but these cops did not deal with it properly. Most of the time the individual is suffering from some type of mental illness, which makes it even more imperative that the cops to not react irresponsibly.
If the individual was not armed, there were lots of ways to take the individual down without shooting him. They could have pepper sprayed him, tazed him, or, since there were two cops, they could have tried to talk the person down as each cop could have watched out for the other cop, but in any case, to respond as they did, is unconscionable!
Police need to be heald to the same standard as everyone else and what you saw here is murder.
Like how this mans narrative acts like hes a law enforcement officer, Police do not shoot people in the leg, when they make the decision to shoot its to kill and they have every right to do so if the perp is not responding to to their requests to stop, and get on the ground.
The narrator leaves out some very important facts that if you look the video you will see what transpired, but the narrator was already biased and prejudiced. Some one says "This is not the way BRO" apparently someone had the sense to tell it like it was. You do not provoke the law and not expect some kind of consequences. End of story. Weather or not the perp had mental issues is not the cops job to diagnose anyones mental illness, his job is to protect and serve the communities they are a part of.
Say they had let this moron go and he went and killed someone to get the police to come and kill him later , how would you feel about that then say this narrators family member ???

An individual is allowed to use a weapon ONE step above what they are being threatened with. A knife is beat by a tazer, and that is what they should have used. You did not see the individual charge the cops, and the cops were within tazer range. The cops exceeded their allowed power and what you saw was a cop assisted suicide, as well as the murder of the individual.
Cops must be kept to the same requirements as an individual protecting themselves, or we are going to have streets filled with dead people because the cops of today are not like the cops of the past. In the past people became cops out of pride and desire to protect their community, but no what you see most is a bunch of individuals who were picked on as kids becoming cops and their heads swelling.
Being the victim of two unwarranted incidents where I was assaulted because the cop did not use common sense gives me a different perspective on how they operate. Think about this, I had NEVER been in trouble, but the chief told the papers that I was well known by all police departments in the area. Slander to cover your cops misuse of power is what it was.
Why should the public trust cops who react as these two thugs did?
