MAY 21, 2019 — The amount spent per pupil for public elementary and secondary education (prekindergarten through 12th grade) for all 50 states and the District of Columbia increased $12,201 per pupil during the 2017 fiscal year.

These states are: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. In addition, you have the District of Columbia and Douglas County, Colorado.Apr 23, 2015

The government allocated over $360,000 for every classroom with 30 students and the average salary of the teachers was $80,000. Where did the remaining $280,000 go?

If parents were given $12,000 vouchers the parents could send their children to the school of their choice or could educate their children at home and keep the money for themselves.
