Sharia Law

2064441010?profile=original

So do you think we have a problem? Let’s take a look at Islam in America and the idea of “freedom of religion.”

Let’s see what some think. This is from the site called: Islamic Law Expert –

“Sharia Law can be hard to understand—for many reasons. Sharia law, which governs virtually every aspect of life for any observant Muslim, is vast, complex and flexible.

(Are they kidding? Flexible? ) Watch the video!

Sharia Law, (sometimes called Shariah Law) derives from the Quran and the Sunna (holy books) and also from legal opinions derived from a consensus of scholars and jurists. The scope of the subject matter alone makes the mastery of Sharia law challenging.”

(I sure would like to know how they define “consensus”.) Watch the video!

"Another source of confusion is the political and emotional impact of Sharia which is largely fueled by fear, prejudice and misunderstanding.

(Misunderstanding? Prejudged?) Watch the video! Judge for yourself.

“In the United States and elsewhere in the world there are many individuals and groups who are stridently Anti-Sharia Law because they believe there is danger in allowing Shariah law to encroach on the law of the land.

These fears are unfounded because this cannot happen and nobody is even asking that it ever happen.”

(Unfounded? Are they kidding?) Watch the video!

And this one I really love.

“Shariah law will never supplant the American legal system in any way.”

“Another reason why Islamic law expertise is important is that the Muslim American population in the United States is currently around 8 million and growing. These are patriotic American citizens who are law-abiding, but who also want to follow the religious teachings of Sharia because not everything in Sharia violates American law.”

This is CRAP! You CANNOT be a “Patriotic American” and think for ONE SINGLE MINUTE that you can also follow Sharia Law. “The twain shall never meet.” There is NO correlation between the two and Sharia Law violates our precepts in every way. So the question arises.

Why the hell are we allowing these “politically correct” teachings in our “Public”, (government) schools? Watch the video! You decide.

Your are right, of course.  Sharia Law should never supplant secular law - IN THE SAME WAY THAT Christian law should never supplant secular law.

Islam is on the upswing.  Christianity (in America) is in decline.  If Christians don't start to stand firm in defense of the secular Constitution, they might well find themselves subject to the abhorrent laws that many non-Christians now find themselves living under.

As less than 1% of America's young (aged 18-24) have a Biblical worldview - it seems reasonable to me that NOW is the time to support the secular view of religious freedom.  Hating the enemy does nothing but put Christians in more danger.

Jesus said to love thy neighbor (even your enemies) as you love yourself.  If Christianity insists that its values cannot be taken over by another group that punishes them in retribution, they aren't thinking it through thoroughly.  The First Amendment exists for a reason - to prevent the horrors of the shown kind of atrocities that exist under Shariah Law.

I suspect that Christians are not aware of the gross punishment that they are inflicting on those who don't fit the post 1980 version of Christianity by working so industriously to insert God's Laws into our secular government.  They seem to think that as long a they are not hurt, no one who matters is hurt - but how is this fundamentally different from the oppression of government on all of us.

Equality means loving your neighbor as yourself.  For as long as your group is against another group, other groups will be against your group.  That's what happens when groups become centralized.

It is a threat - but by making Sharia Law in any form illegal, we do ourselves a disfavor.  I heard one Christian televangelist say that Sharia Law is an abomination but Jewish laws of kashrut are not, even though the only difference between dietary laws of Islam and dietary laws of Judaism include the use of the words "Praise Allah" during the ritual slaughter of an animal.

Rather than hate Muslims, why not love the Constitution?  You can't do both.  You can't serve two masters.

Gail, just one question? What do you mean by 'secular law'. Our laws are based on Judeo-Christian principles. Our Constitution was written by men respective of the nature of man and of nature's God. While we can abide peacefully with all religions, we cannot submit to any religion whose guiding principle is our subjugation or eradication!

There have been many instances of man's inhumanity to man under the guise of religious ideology, but those are all denounced as misguided and malicious perversions of various theologies. Most of Christianity has come to accept that violence has no place in our faith, unless it is in defense of self. Islam's principle strategy is total elimination of any other belief system ON THE PLANET!

In America, we have freedom OF religion, and freedom FROM religion. Without respect for both, we will have neither. And remember, 'religion' is an invention of man, not of God.

In closing. There is no virtue in hating anyone or anything, just as there is no benefit to loving an inanimate object or a particular philosophy, because there can be no reciprocity. As for serving two masters? You are right, but you also must commit to One Master, or you will never rise above yourself.

No, the Constitution says that there shall be  no religious test.

Furthermore, the Muslim Brotherhood is in the Near East, not in American government.  The Muslim Brotherhood is a political organization over there.  It is a political party, just as we have political parties.

If you think that's the way that it is, then you must also consider the fact that many Christians in government are so against the Constitution that they vote for things that are very much opposed to our Constitution.  How do you think that America got as messed up as it is?  It certainly wasn't the Muslims.  The crisis in America has been around much longer than the Muslim voice.

By your mode of thinking, there is no way to separate the Westboro Baptist Church from Christianity.  If you start down that road, then you must insist that all Baptists are not Christians.  And by extension, an argument could readily be made (using the teachings of Jesus while ignoring Paul) that you are insisting that no Christians are Christians.  Thus, you would agree with me that all Christian laws should be removed from our government, and people should not vote their religion, but rather vote in defense of the Constitution as written, and as documentary evidence demonstrates it was meant to be understood.

        • I'm sorry , but this post by Gail,  shows ignorance of the topic. A Muslim is a person. Sharia is a doctrine. There are many Christians who do not study or know the Bible or much about their own religion. Those people may or may not do what they think is proper without really knowing the reason. The same is true for Islamists.  Having said that, Islam is the only (so called )religion that does NOT advocate some form of the golden rule. In my opinion, a doctrine such as Sharia should not be considered a religion. What religion advocates killing non-members? (Kafirs).  Please do not give me a typical narrative about the Crusades. Morton IX is correct.

All of the main counter-jihadists of our time make a distinction between Muslims as people and Islam as an ideology (and they generally don't hate Muslims). Nevertheless, here is what one such counter-jihadist has to say about "hate": his name is Dr Bill Warner, and he has correctly said (elsewhere) that "Islam causes Muslims, Muslims do not cause Islam":

  • Let me see if I may simplify Sharia law. Start by reading the Biography of Muhammad. The Sira.  Then keep in mind that Every Muslim proclaims in Shahadah: "I testify that there is no god but Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is a Messenger of Allah." The Shahadah is the basic creed or tenet of Islam. Islamic belief is that ideally the Shahadah is the first words a newborn will hear; children are taught it immediately and it will be recited upon death. Muslims repeat the shahadah in the call to prayer (adhan) and the prayer itself. Non-Muslims wishing to convert to Islam are required to recite the creed.[254]  This is from Wikipedia which has actually sanitized their ve...

Do you see that this means that every Muslim wants to emulate Muhammad. To be like the pedophile murdering, psychopath who forces people to comply and threatens death to anyone who defies him.  So read the Sira so you can learn what type of man Muhammad was,,,, Assuming he existed at all. (but that is another topic)

    Shahada
The Shahada (Arabic: ٱلشَّهَادَةُ‎ aš-šahādah [aʃ.ʃa.haː.dah] (listen), "the testimony"), also spelled Shahadah, is an Islamic creed, one of the Five…
  • People must first realize that the united States was founded as a union of States. Not one nation under God. Each State was an independent state. They were founded as Christian States. Hence the Constitution was written as a Christian based government. ShaRIA law is a form of government and law that states all must convert and live under the sharia law or are punishable and could be possibly killed. Any religion that someone chooses to practice that does not basically call for the death of all other faiths is welcome to live under our constitution but our constitution can not permit anything that is a different form of law and government to exist within its confines else it ceases to be the Supreme Law of the land.

    • I totally agree with your statement,  But only if you take out the sentence     "They were founded as Christian States."   This type of thinking is why Utah had issues when do gooders decided to not uphold the constitution, but instead enforce some kind of feel good ,  "Moral law". The founders were careful to honor all religions, not just Christian.  Islam is NOT a religion. It is a doctrine that is much closer to a cult than a religion. Just the fact that Islam states there shall be no law higher than Sharia is a direct conflict with article six.
