In 1929 the State Legislature of the state of Wisconsin petitioned Congress to call for an Article V Convention to propose amendments to the Constitution. They revealed that each of the following 35 states had submitted a request for an Article V Convention. These states were:

 1.  Alabama

  2.  Arkansas

  3.  California

  4.  Colorado

  5.  Delaware

  6.  Georgia

  7.  Idaho

  8.  Illinois

  9.  Indiana

10.  Iowa

11.  Kansas

12.  Kentucky

13.  Louisiana

14.  Maine

15.  Michigan

16.  Minnesota

17.  Missouri

18.  Montana

19.  Nebraska

20.  Nevada
