8575484857?profile=originalGovernment was created to protect the lives, liberty and property of the people. The Congress was authorized to pass laws that would secure the blessings of liberty. Laws that limit the power of the government to abuse the rights of the people are just and those that seek to limit the power of the people to pursue happiness are unjust.

Just laws promote liberty while unjust promote tyranny. Governments were created by the consent of the governed and we cannot grant to our government powers that we ourselves do not possess. When an individual takes the property that belongs to his neighbor, he has committed a crime. No individual has the right to steal and therefore man can not grant to his government to take a man's property without his consent.

The proper role of the local government is to punish the individuals that violate the life, liberty and property of the people in the community. It is not their job to provide goods and services. The function of the national government is to provide for the common defense and to make sure that the states are not depriving their people of their unalienable rights.

The Constitution was a rule book written by the states to limit the potential abuse of power by the central government. The founders knew that by following the Constitution, the states would have the ability to control the government of the United States. The states and the people were to be the masters and the government was to be the servant. Today, the Federal government has usurped the power of the states and the people and routinely write laws that deprive the people of their God given rights.

8575482869?profile=originalGovernments are instituted among men deriving their just power from the consent of the governed. When a government violates the rights of the people it is our responsibility to withdraw our consent. Thomas Jefferson wrote in the Declaration of Independence that when a government becomes tyrannical that it is not only our right, but our responsibility to alter or abolish it.

It is our duty to obey just laws and it responsibility not to refuse to comply with laws that are unjust. When we obey unconstitutional laws we give our consent.

Our government is totally out of control because, we the people have trusted our elected officials with too much power and they have betrayed that trust. We need to take responsibility and hold our elected officials accountable for their actions.

The bankers and international corporations that control our government have brainwashed the people into believing that it is our duty to obey all laws and to trust the government. In order to restore our nation we need to do as Benjamin Franklin suggested when he said "It is the role of every citizen to question authority."

When we comply with unjust laws we are in rebellion against the God and the laws of nature and common sense.

  • I like the quote by Thoreau.  It is exactly what I have been saying for a long time, although it is what some may consider anarchy.  When a body of governed people finally rise up and disobey the onerous laws imposed upon them, such as Egypt did and Greece did.  I see it coming down the pike here if things don't change.

  • Sooner...than later...the whole system needs to be purged !!!
  • Yes, but how do you achieve that without violence?  I have my doubts about the integrity of the voting process in this country now.  So something's got to give, but what?  I blame us for giving the government the power they have.  How do you undo years of a slowly encroaching tyranny?  I suppose with years of undermining that encroachment.  Easier said than done.  And what if you don't have a complicit military, police, national guard on your side?
