A religion is a ideology based on the principles of righteous behavior. In order for an ideology to qualify as a religion it must promote the use of ethical means to achieve, equality, justice and liberty for all.
If the ideology promotes the use of unethical means to achieve ethical results that ideology is not a religion. In our country the freedom of religion is based on the premise that religions instruct people on how to live in harmony with one another.
Any organization that teaches or promotes hatred, injustice and/or inequality is not a religion but a political ideology masquerading as a religion.
Islam is considered by many to be a religion, but the message does not promote equality, justice and liberty for all.
