An Abbreviated History of the

Republic Restoration Initiative (RRI)

The RRI dates back to Walter Myers’ introduction to the Spotlight newspaper in the late 1970s. He subscribed. Each week he received a dose of disturbing information on how America was being deliberately and systematically torn from its biblical mooring and led into the New World Order.

Being a God fearing veteran respectful of his oath saying; "I, Walter Myers, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take thi thes obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God."

So he began an earnest study of America’s history to learn more about the who, how and why of America’s transformation from a Republic into a nation-state of global governance. By 1990 Myers began joining various organizations in search of one having a viable plan devoted to creating a movement capable of regaining control of our rogue government. Finding no such organization and having retired as Chief of Plans and Programs for a General’s Staff he decided he could, and should,
write a plan.

He did and called a meeting for Constitution Day 1993 in which to present it to others. Over 225 people attended. Among them were the late Dr. Greg Dixon, founder of the American Coalition of Unregistered Churches; the late Senator Don Rogers (R-CA); the late Colonel J.J. Boesel (U.S. Army rtd), a former member of the Judge Advocate Corps who was also a retired Judge; the late Governor Evan Mecham (R-AZ); and the late Jim Thomas, publisher of Media ByPass magazine.
The meeting resulted in two important decisions.

  1. It added a lawsuit to the plan challenging America’s participation in the United Nations. Judge Boesel prepared one for submission by a State to the U. S. Supreme Court; it being the Court of Original Jurisdiction for States. A copy of the lawsuit is included on the RRI web site under “important writings.” And:
  2. A decision was made to try to implement the plan The plan calls for a National Leadership Team (NLT) whose mission is threefold. It is to provide the plan, the tools needed to implement it, and to be a catalyst to try to inspire organizations to unite on issues of mutual interest. It was decided to form the NLT. Governor Mecham agreed to serve as Chairman. The name selected for the group was the Constitutionalist’s Networking Center (CNC). Mr. Myers agreed to serve as its Executive Director.

Organizations agreeing to affiliate with the CNC included;

  • The Committee of 50 States chaired by the late Governor Lee of Utah,
  • Gun Owners of America, and;
  • About Face America founded by the late General Ray Davis, a former Commandant of the Marine Corps.

Legislators from 17 States agreed to serve on the Legislative Initiative Team along with 3 Attorneys on the Legal Initiative Team. To further strengthen the plan Mr. Myers hosted a three day conference (December 13-15, 1996) in his home for the purpose of preparing Position Papers for submission to a Constitutional Convention should it materialize. Those present came to be known as the Constitution Review Team.

Members of the team were;

  • Mr. Ralph Ralph Boryszewski, author of “The Constitution that Never Was,” “Theft of a Nation:” and “A History of Organized Crime and Betrayal by the Bench,”
  • Mr. Byron Dale, author of “Bashed by the Bankers,”
  • Colonel (rtd) Jim Ammerman, Executive Director of the Chaplaincy of Full Gospel Churches,
  • Mr. Joseph Stumph, Executive Director of the Committee of Fifty States and author of “The Constitution Hanging by a Thread,”
  • Mr. Vince Miller,
  • Louis Hall and;
  • Walter Myers.

The team identified eighteen changes they felt would be improvements to the Constitution should Americans become united enough prior to a ConCon to make their voice heard. The CNC’s effort to implement the plan failed; largely due to the cost of communicating as the internet didn’t exist at that time and the death of some members. A second effort to implement the plan was a cooperative effort between the CNC and “Americans for Constitutional Enforcement” (ACE) chaired by the
late Richard Abraham. Sadly, this effort also failed due to the expense of communicating.

In an effort to get the plan into people’s hands Mr. Myers wrote the book “To Tame a Tyrant.” The book describes what lawful government would look like, how Americans have come to be governed in accordance with the ten planks of the Communist Manifesto, and a plan that will permit people to work together on issues of common interest while assuring everyone involved retains their freedom to pursue their special interests.

Upon arrival of the internet a third attempt was made to implement the plan. It was known as the Patriot Network Initiative. It too was abandoned for many reasons, not the least being the lack of funds needed to develop a system permitting registrants to locate and communicate with others within their local area, county and state.

Early in 2020 Mr. Keith Broaders, founder of the Constitution Club, Mr. Larry Richardson and Mr. Myers, knowing that only through a unified effort can America’s Republic be restored, decided to initiate yet another attempt to promote this unity. Hence, Friends of Liberty United. Due to a lack of funds with which to develop the tools needed to implement the plan and for other reasons this effort was also abandoned. The RRI is the latest effort to implement this plan.
